AMYA ROXXSTAR
ARTIST BIO:
Motivational speaker, author, brand ambassador, fashion stylist and music artist; Amya Roxxstar is taking the world by storm. Releasing her first project in June 2018, Amya Roxxstar Not a Question, she has been a part of several national tours performing in 16 states and 36 cities to date; being featured as the opening act of several major productions such as: Camden Jam and Universal Soul Circus. She opened up for Tweet and Lil'Mo in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
Amya was also an ambassador for Nordstrom’s department stores and is a teen brand ambassador for Yelle Skincare. She has also walked in several fashion shows, including Macy's in Pennsylvania. This artist has also been featured in 12 different publications, 13 different radio shows, as well as 3 different national morning news shows in Charleston, SC , Philadelphia, PA and Baltimore, MD.
She has won 2 IIAA awards in NYC. One for BEST FEMALE SOLO ARTIST, the other for TEEN HUMANITARIAN, and a TEEN ENTREPRENEUR AWARD for her online/traveling boutique. In 2019 she received the VISIONARY AWARD from Fighting 4 Youth, the NEXT GENERATION YOUTH AWARD from the NAACP.
From her love mentoring her peers to encourage to be the best form of themselves, Miss Amya was motivated to formulate a workshop entitled BE the B.R.A.N.D which encourages her fellow Gen Z-ers. Her goal of this workshop is to encourage her peers to use their voice to make a change. She raised money for the Newark Water Crisis and partnered with the Willingboro NAACP with the donation. She also donated toys to youth in Trenton, NJ for the holidays. She was also featured with a supporting role in the independent film ROAD TO TRUTH and the web series Water Makes the Blood Run.
In May of 2019, Amya has released her first book: THE LIFE OF A TEENAGE GIRL, to address issues that she felt were important and not touched on enough like colorism, bullying and gun violence. She had the pleasure of hosting a book signing at Barnes and Noble Westbank in Harvey, LA during Essence Festival Weekend.
With all of this Amya managed to graduate high school at 16, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Amya is currently a college student who is a Fashion major.
